bollocks - you would have to talk but not look at your child which is completely not the point.

if you talked and looked at the kid then you would endanger the kid

the kid facing front ways gets to see other things- they wouldnt get to see otherwise and gets stimulated in other ways. yes parents should interact with their children but for fucks sake someone has too much time on their hands to think up this shit - is it that social worker woman who thought that saying no to your ctoddler in a supermarket was tantermount to neglect.

what fking planet are these people from?

The best thing about a parent-facing buggy is that you can catch the bottle of tea if baby drops it

[creeps in] I got our buggy for ds (now 3)cos it could in fact flip to face out or face my lovely fizog - not with a switch unfortunately

He cried when he was in the stroller - I can only imagine cos he was being wheeled into oncoming legs and was just at the right height for fag ash in his face when out shopping. When he faced me, he was fine.

I think the speech thing is irrelevant, but I do think there are real benefits for having your sprog facing you.

Easier to feed them sausage rolls if they're looking at you (to go with the tea).

And Miaou - PMSL!

Do you think people get paid to come up with these ideas??

I used to wish our buggy faced me as I often wanted to talk to DS when he was in it. I also wanted him to be a bit more protected from those who swing carrier bags into oncoming buggies, or flick fag ash over them.
Parents of deaf kids often seek parent-facing buggies.
I would have preferred a parent-facing buggy - but don't think it's anything to be guilt-tripped over if it was front facing.

If your child is facing away from you then they can't see you eating chocolate, so you don't have to share it!
