Does anyone disagree with this judgement today? Seems painful but right to me. Anyone else think anything else?

Wobblyknicks, yes a surrogate can have an abortion. In this country she can also keep the child as she is the legal mother. I still don't think it is right to force parenthood on anyone if it can be avoided, even though I could cry for the woman who had ovarian cancer. I suppose his agreeing to the embryo freezing is comparable to a man agreeing to try for a baby naturally, but then the relationship splits up and they separate - his promise to try for a baby certainly wouldn't hold then, even morally, surely? I don't believe a frozen four cell embryo is a baby, BTW. But what about the other women? I don't know her situation but provided she's not sterile why is so so keen to have a baby with a destested ex. I agree with whoever it was who said that the idea of being forced to have a child with a detested ex makes them shiver with horror. It's all very well saying the men can sign away their rights, but could you? I mean if you genetic child was out there, being brought up by your ex partner, could you really walk away?
