Theme park picnic bans

This was discussed on today's breakfast news link to BBC website. Bans are already in place at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Zoo and Camelot at Chorley, and others (including Alton Towers and Thorpe Park) are considering it.

I think it's a dreadful idea - these places are expensive enough already, and queuing for (often mediocre) food would just take another chunk out of the day. But if the big players start doing this, then I suppose everyone will follow suit.

What does anyone else think?

Anyone remember the Moevenpick fresh food restaurant at Legoland when it first opened? Your chose the ingredients and they cooked them up in front of you. It was lovely. A bit pricey, but worth it for a proper meal.

Yes - back when it was a good and not extortionate day out! And the lovely Movenpick ice-creams at Papa Mole's. I'd actually spend money if the food was decent and the entry price wasn't so extortionate!

I find I have actually stopped spending money because I am fed up being fleeced, tbh. It kind of makes me go on a bit of a spending strike.

I think it would beneficial for both guests to these theme parks and the theme parks to introduce picnic spots or at the very least sell picnic hampers catering to those who wouldnt like to consume the average fast foof meal.
