Less than 500 left out of more than 4,500 when he started a campaign of destruction against the white farmers of Zimbabwe

Given your other posts Compfan I think all you're trying to do by highlighting this story is make some lazy point that a black man = a bad man.... And for that reason you get a big

I don't know of compfans posting history but this is a shocking reminder of the regime over there, not to be dismissed.

BadgersPaws · 13/01/2011 17:26

Yes what an absolute nutter Mugabe is.

Imagine what kind of idiot thinks that you can only be a certain nationality if you've got a certain skin colour

And that whole idea about kicking so called immigrants out of a country regardless of their economic contribution and no matter many generations back their family arrived in the country. What kind of fool would you have to be to believe in that?

So well done for pointing out the danger and stupidity of people like that compfan.

I'll leave the last words to Wilf Mbanga an exile from Zimbabwe as a result of being declared an enemy of the people.

"The only difference between the B.N.P. and ZANU-PF is that Mugabe is in a position to enact his racist policies by virtue of his stranglehold on power, whereas Griffin belongs to a fringe party and has the might of British democracy to contend with."

@BadgersPaws.... back of the net!

compfan · 13/01/2011 17:33

Why not pay a visit Badgers Paw, I'm sure you would love it.

And we're back on step 1 of the BNPs debating plan, dismiss critics with silly and obviously false statements.

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 16/01/2011 21:52

you probably would love it actually Badger - most places are actually fine so long as you stay out of the high density suburbs (you're not likely to want to go to them anyhow unless you have friends or family living in them) and stick to the tourist areas.

Thing is with Mugabe and Zimbabwe - it's MUCH more than racism - more black MDC (run by a black man) supporters and farm workers have been beaten, killed or simply disappeared than Whites.

They're not even safe if they're ZANU supporters but have family who have escaped to the UK, or have family who are known MDC supporters. They're still considered traitors.

KalokiMallow · 17/01/2011 01:52

So compfan what point were you trying to make? Hmm Seeing as you didn't feel the need to congratulate BadgersPaws on that hugely accurate post about idiots wanting to kick people out of a country based on colour alone...?

AbsofCroissant · 19/01/2011 16:30

Yip. It's pretty terrible. As is when they had the slum clearances, and the voter intimidation, and pretty much most of the crap the Zanu PF has been involved in since it pretty much came into power.

What is also good to note is that not all of the white farmers (or whites in Zimbabwe for that matter) are "immigrants". As pointed out in the excellent book "the Last Resort" by Douglas Rogers, some of the farmers and their families have lived in what is now Zimbabwe for over 300 years - longer than the United States has been in existence.

I spent two idyllic months in Zimbabwe back in 1995, years before Mugabe started his awful campaign.
In those days Zimbabwe was the 'bread basket of Africa' with amazingly successful and productive farms. It was a beautiful country with generous and friendly people.
It breaks my heart to read about what has happened there.

My cousin's husband is Zimbabwean by birth. His family left for South Africa and Mozambique during the troubles, but are now starting to return to their homeland. He has some terrifying stories to tell, but also seems surprisingly upbeat about the future.

I only hope that Mugabe and his cronies are taken from power at some point in the not too distant future.
:(

Given his now stance, it is a pity that our 'Peace' envoy didn't see that he could have freed another country from tyranny. Given the price of wheat, it could almost be as valuable as the Iraqi oil.
