Do the LibDems actually have to support the Conservatives on all these cuts?

It seems to me that Nick Clegg is the person who has the deciding vote on all these things. Did he sign an agreement that says he has to support them until the next election is due. Can't he just withdraw his support?

I know the LibDem cabinet members are supporting the Conservatives, but most people would have voted LibDem (in the perhaps mistaken belief) that they were a little further to the left of previous labour governments?

Do we really have to face another 5 years of this when most of us didn't even vote for the Conservatives?

The coalition agreement makes it clear which subjects the Lib Dems have to agree with the Conservatives on and which they are allowed to campaign on separately. PR or AV, for example. The Coalition agreement was that the Conservatives would support the proposal of a referendum... but both parties could campaign for or against should it happen.

Since Lib Dem cabinet ministers are at the heart of the spending review, they should be fighting as hard as anyone else to retain spending in areas they think are important. If anyone voted LibDem to get a very left-wing government, I think they didn't read the manifesto too closely.

Not saying that Lib Dems are left wing. Just saying that under Blair Labour stepped to the right of them.
