Bloody he'll, you're practically voting for Company shops and housing. Workhouses next I suppose. Let's hope you have enough money and CSM gamble on yur health to ensure you never need state help. In believable how selfish people are

To answer a pointers further up, the poor give more to charity than the rich. So perhaps they have more empathy, it certainly seems lacking in those considering it their 'duty' to avoid paying taxes. And who do you think subsidises piss poor private wages, yes it's is, legitmate taxpayers putting money I'm tje pockets of the greedy bastards. Still, being happy with your conduct brings it's own reward.

I saw the Tories gave corporations a big tax break too. Thats a tax break only for those companies that are making profits - so those who are doing well out of the recession are paying less tax, those who are struggling through the recession have to pay increased VAT??

How can they be so stupid? And how can anyone support them? Its like having our own GW Bush monkey, running our country Angry.

Corporation tax was cut in the emergency budget to give companies making a profit a helping hand. The corporation tax rate for small companies is lower than that of large companies. Companies that are making a loss have never paid corporation tax. VAT paid out for goods and services can be offset against VAT charged when calculating the profit.

Increasing VAT increases prices and hence also lowers demand. Not the smartest idea for a country struggling out of recession.

Giving a 'helping hand' to companies that are doing fine and making good profits just shows how confused their priorities are, because they are led by ideology and not the facts in the real world.

If a company doesn't have to give quite so much back to the Exchequer it can afford to keep a few more staff on or invest in development or even keep prices down. I don't think that's confusing priorities.
