bathroom storage help

My mum has just had her bathroom refitted but as usual hasn't thought it through very well. She is left with very little space and she hasn't thought about storage. There are no shelves and we are going to have to find ways of storing some of her toiletries with minimum space. I am sure I once saw an over the toilet thingy that WAS sort of nice but now I can barely find any and they are all minging. Bare in mind it is for my mum so her idea of minging and mine will be different. Does anyone know where best to find such a thing, preferably something in chrome or white/cream. Or indeed any very slimline storage type thingy, she is going to have to cut down on the stuff she keeps whatever happens. All of this would have been easier had she not ordered the biggest shower cubicle I have ever seen. but tis done now so we just have to fix the problem.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

What about the bathroom cabinet?

We bought an enormous one from IKEA, not very expensive and it holds pretty much everything we need, from loo cleaner to toothbrushes.

Even though we've got a tiny bathroom, it doesn't look out of place, being all mirror, it really brightens the place up too.

Something along these lines I think £59 for the largest one

Another idea is something like this. It fits over the door and you could hang pretty bags holding toiletries as well as towels.

Also, they do this which again is door mounted and would hide all sorts.

thanks for that, unfortunately I am about as far from an IKEA as it is possible to get, not even sure if they have started doing online to here, they hadn't last I heard. But I will keep looking. She has an ideal narrow space both sides of her toilet so long and thin is what we are thinking. But something like the first one would be ideal above the sink.

John Lewis have a similar one but £180!

No doubt it's of exceptional quality

Are you still looking and would your Mum do "used"- I have two spare bits of bathroom furniture.

1: Ikea, thin, cabinet with mirror, three shelves, shaker style, white painted wood with a bit of pine on the top.

2: Glass and chrome, three glass shelves, bought from John Lewis. here

in fact, JL are perfect for almost everything IMO!!

MistyB - if OP isn't interested I might be I am in a very similar situation. Our house has the smallest bathroom and seperate WC I have ever seen. Tall people can't even stand up in the WC! Its under the stairs Its the thing I hate about the house but I love the rest of it so we have put up with it!

Horsham CAT me and I can send you dimensions and if it's the IKEA one, I can send you a picture.

(We have a downstairs loo with no sink! the one thing I hate too!!)
