Ds, 4, decided to show off his new found skill of writing his name. However he chose to write on our leather chair. Bless

It could be worse, it's a blue chair and blue biro but it is still visable so any tips on removing it would be great, thanks!

Sorry sweetcat, I just posted another leather trauma above yours. We have biro too, no idea how to remove it but I feel your pain.

try spraying hairspray on it and rubbing off, that usually works. If not, nail polish remover

yes to hairspray - depending on the type of pen, baby oil sometimes works too.

Oh tingelingle, am off to try hairspray and will report back. Thanks littlebabynothing and whomovedmychocolate

Bloody marvellous, thanks

I told DH Mumsnet would have the answer, brilliant lot that you are.

It also showed how mucky they are so will have to clean the whole suite now

Ah for that you want saddle soap. Go to a hardware store.

sweetcat · 05/07/2010 20:12

Already use that, just obviously not often enough Great stuff innit?

Fantastic. And a layer of hairspray may just protect my sofa from future 'incidents'. Genius women!
