Round the neck and sleeves of DS's white school polo shirts are slighly orange stains even after washing. I challenged him that he had been using my fake tan but apparebtly not. Just regular nivea sun lotion. How can i get rid of the stain? Used standard non-bio powder to no avail.

Someone on here has the answer; I saw it on another thread ,but can't for the life of me tell you what it was. Will have a hunt.

Meanwhile bump

I'd desperately like to know the answer to this, we have so many white collars tinged yellow with suncream, have tried Biotex, Vanish, washing soda, drying in bright sunshine, all the standard things, so bump again.

on the suncream livechat the boots guy said something about the active ingredients being oil based and therefore grease removing stuff works best to remove sun cream stains. and hanging it out in the sun to bleach.

Okay, used vanish direct on the stain and then rewashed and dried in sun. Still yellow stains. At least there are only a couple more weeks of term!

I'd love to know the answer to this one, we've got sun cream stains on loads of things...

Be proud of suncream stains! At least the teachers know which parents bother with it! That's what I got told when I moaned at ds's teacher about his less than White collars!
