I need to buy a washer-dryer. But do they all have a 'flue' thing attatched? Because it won't be near a window...

no they don't. we've got a ZWD16270W1 zanussi ZWD one that is self contained, then drains the dryer water off down the waste water tube. they are fab.

We have an Indesit that is self-contained, I actually think most of them are. They are wonderful machines.

Mostly self contained now. Just empty out the water and the fluff and you're done.

Washer-dryers usually send the condensed steam out down the drainpipe, the same as the dirty water from the wash cycle. I think the flue things are much more common on a dryer, because they don't always have water pipes and a drainpipe attached.

We have a Bosch Exxcel which is a condenser. A container collects all the water and can be removed to pour away.

Thanks all

Will be off to make a purchase tomorrow
