Argh - clothes that could take another wearing...

... in our house they just get dumped somewhere on the bedroom floor, along with others that weren't quite the right ones for today but might be ok for tomorrow. I'm sure you can imagine how it looks after a few days!

What do you do that doesn't take up too much space but stops unbearable clutter and creasing?

LOL
This is funny as it was one of my 'issues' for a long time. I used to have this pile of clothes that were too clean to wash but too dirty to put away. Twas ridiculous!! And yes very illogical.

Anyway, I settled on and cleared a small shelf area next to the toiletries in my fitted wardrobes and the clothes were folded and put there
hey presto, tidy room but no wierd feelings about hanging up dirty clothes!!

Wow - glad to see this isn't just me being dopey! I can't bear the thought of putting once-worn t-shirts back in a drawer with pristine clean ones, and it seems such a waste of money, energy and time to wash something that would be fine for another day. No problem about putting trousers or skirts away unless they were filthy

Like the idea of a shelf in the wardrobe, but we only have hanging space in there. And not really any space for a chair or towel stand as the cot is still in our room and will be for another month or so.

Don't put back in wardrobe; moths might infest. Moths eat clothes that are at least a little dirty and in the dark. Keep the barely worn stuff in daylight and you won't run the risk.

Mind you, the only things moths have eaten of ours were babygros we tried to use one too many nights -- they were on shelf, but piled under other items. Come to think of it, we are probably running this risk with DD's clothes right now .

Places our little worn items go onto:
Shelves
Doll house
Chair
Top of toy chest

I have a system:-
If it is dirty it goes in the wash
If itis unworn it goes in the wardrobe
If it is clean enough to wear it again, then I wear it again the next day.

DD has a system
If it is dirty it goes on the bedroom floor
If it is clean and frashly ironed it goes on the bedroom floor
If it has been worn and is still wearable it goes on the bedroom floor
Once every few weeks everything from the bedroom floor goes back into the wash basket at the same time, creating a huge mountain. Teenagers grrr!

On a coat hanger and hung on top of the bedroom door...now starting to spot all the marks around the woodwork from the metal coathanger. (Remembers my dad going mad if we did this when teenagers...we also were not allowed to put wet washing draped over the radiator).

A touch of OCD I think!
