not sure if i have posted on right site, but here goes.
i want to put up a kids swing in my garden, only i dont have a tree, but not one of those horrible things from argos.
i want to put up a frame for it between the garage wall and the fence, about a 3 ft space.
have no idea how to do this so that it is strong and safe.
any advice?

can't think how you would make one - why not buy one and save on the stress?
here?

THANKS, BUT I DONT HAVE SPACE FOR A LARGE FRAME LIKE THAT ONE, THATS WHY I NEED TO MAKE ONE.

if you are attatching it to the wall and fence you will need to put in supports at both end aswell. i think it will be a specialist job tbh.

okay - don't shout .

That was just an example. have asked DH and he can't think how you'd make one. The fence would need to be really strong.

Is there nowhere else in the garden you could have one?

what sort of fence? what is the garage wall made of? how high is the fence?

you might want a 'wo/man who can', even if its just because they'll have the tools, as well as the skills and exp for the job.
i imagine you can drill into brick and put up a good solid support for one end of a piece of scaffold pole or similar but how are you going to, for eg, cut the pole to size?

if you find a local handyperson, they can prob whack you soemthing up in half a day, so hopefully not too costly?

my dad could do it. but i am guessing he isn't willing to go across the water for a day to do it.

thanks all...might leave it to the proffessionals as suggested.
