washer dryers- help

Hi
Can anyone advise on a decent washer-dryer that will dry as efficiently as it washes? I have been disappointed thus far as they seem to just heat up wet clothes but never dry them.

Clearly i need to get out more, but your opinions and recommendations would be welcome.

I asked my cousin this - he fixes washing machines and tumble dryers for a living. He said they were all pretty duff and that I needed to get a separate tumble dryer.

I haven't got much space so I ignored him and bought a Hotpoint WDD960 Ultima. It's not bad and my aunt is extremely happy with hers... but then again it's not great, it doesn't dry things thoroughly, it takes ages and ages... and I ended up buying a separate tumble dryer after all.
