BO smell on washed shirt

How do I get rid of it? It wasn't that smelly to begin with, but after washing it at 40 degrees, the pong is still there.

I wore it two days on the trot (nothing wrong with that) and it's a favorite shirt of mine.

Should I do a 60 degree wash? It's 100% cotton with a few embellishments.

Bicarbonate of soda soak for a night before washing should kill the bacteria causing the whiff.

Are you using biological powder ? That deals with the smell usually.

My washing secret weapon is Napisan - fabulous for sweaty shirts. I soak stained or smelly things, and add a scoop to general white loads

I use biological powder.

Might try the bicarb overnight and add Napisan to the wash - thanks!
