induction hobs - with frame or bult in level with work top? and best make?

We will be getting an induction hob.

Wondering if to get one that's completely level with work surface. I like the smooth look and cleanability of it.

But wondering if one with frame would be the more sensible (but less attractive) option.

For me, I thought the framed hob might be easier to change if necessary later (thinking a built in flush one would need to be more exact to the mm), and also the frame would offer more prtection against chips.

So, flush or frame?

Has anyone got a particular make or onduction hob they like? We currently have a fab Miele but I know it is eye wateringly expensive, but miles better than the Siemens one we had last

I have a Neff one that was the cheapest best buy on Which? (about 700ish I think, two years ago so prob much cheaper now). It's fab and I love it, but if buying one again I would get one with proper buttons rather than a sensor that you press to alter the heat - if my hands are cold it can take a couple of goes to make the hob realise I'm pressing the sensor!!
Mine is frameless, sits flush against the worktop - looks really good, easy to clean. Bear in mind that although there's no frame on it, the glass overhangs the hole in the worktop a bit to give it a neat finish anyway, so may not make too much difference when you come to change.
Which? currently have an Indesit VIA640C as a best buy, less than £300; and a John Lewis JLBIIH603 (love the snappy name) at £499, said it was a bit slow on heating water though.

We've got a Bosch one, flat with the worktop. It's very good.

really want one flush with worktop, but concerned about chips and size of hole when comes to replacing.

Did you come across these issues/ get told owt along these lines?

I think most of them are much the same size, apart from the obviously larger ones with five burners. I didn't even think about when it comes to replacement - not for a few years hopefully!

I have one and love it. I was advised to get a frame because if something boils over a little then the water doesn't go so far. It's a Neff and I've had it for a year and would never go back to gas now.

I agree that the frameless look slightly nicer but I'm glad I chose mine. I don't boil over too many things though, but sometimes the children do....
