A bleary morning folks from me... have had a few hours dozing (tv was on all night .... it strangely reminded me of the first few nights after ds was born)

So far I've showered, done the school run, eaten a bacon sandwich and emptied the dishwasher.

House is in chaos.

Sky news is on.

Paddy Pantsdown looks all reasuringly crumpled.

iamfabregasted · 07/05/2010 11:11

Have posted this on another thread but will put it here as well so you all know what a crap mother i really am

DD2 forgot to take her school bag to her dad's last night.

I promised to bring it to school first thing in the morning.

Oh fuck.

Wordsonascreen · 07/05/2010 11:12

Foureleven.. GB is still in charge as no clear majority.

Hes trying to get the lib dems to join him
If they don't then GB resigns and DC is invited to try to form a government. (can either join forces with the lib dems/scottish or whoever) if that fails he can try to just brazen it out with a minority government.

Either way

They'll probably be another election before October.

Or summat

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 11:13

ooops knock.

it's ok - I sent DS2 off to school earlier this week telling him I'd take him lunch over later........and I forgot totally

OP posts:
Wordsonascreen · 07/05/2010 11:15

ditto me with dds gym kit

Fruitysunshine · 07/05/2010 11:16

Went to bed at 3am ish.

Still in dressing gown - can't keep away from the news - I am finding it fascinating, moreso than any other election I have voted in previously.

Must go shower then get on me pinny and start some house work. Will probably pop on the radio so I can hear it whilst working.

DH did the school run this morning

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 11:16

gawd the thought of doing this all again before October.......

OP posts:
foureleven · 07/05/2010 11:17

well I dutifully packed an entire days food for DD to take to school and childminder forgetting that she was having lunch at school today and tea at a friends house...
Doh!

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 11:17

oops four

DS1 made DS2's packed lunch this morning

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 11:18

ahh well this competitive crap parenting isn't getting my dishwasher on so I have clean mugs, or hanging up the washing that's already finished........

OP posts:
foureleven · 07/05/2010 11:18

Haha I love it, delegation. DSD got DD dressed for school today

Wordsonascreen · 07/05/2010 11:20

I'm off to sort out the kitchen.

snickersnack · 07/05/2010 11:27

Went to bed at 3.30, dd woke me up at 6. Have made packed lunches, cleaned up a major poo incident, put washing on, unloaded dishwasher, done school run, been to post office and am slumped in front of tv. Have to get ds from nursery in 15 mins and have 6 five year old girls coming for a princess tea party after school. Really should have gone to bed earlier...

iamfabregasted · 07/05/2010 11:30

Snicker - cringing at the 6 5yr olds

Update : Phoned the school and grovelled. Said so so sorry etc etc. Teacher laughed, said it doesn't matter all I needed was homework and sure bring that on monday, along with reading book. And I'll let her know you phoned and are sorry.

Isn't she a gem?

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 11:40

aww knock that's lovely

I now have a mug of proper coffee, dishwasher is on, another load of washing in, first lot of clothes draped around the house

OP posts:
Wordsonascreen · 07/05/2010 11:43

I have discovered a pack of chocolate brazils
and scarfed a good 3/4's of a packet.

I now feel sick.

Waiting on dishwasher to finish (have put on eempty with cleaner as all the mugs were filthy

House now smells of florally chemicals [yuck]

iamfabregasted · 07/05/2010 11:46

I miss my dishwasher more than my soon-to-be xh, much more.

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 11:48

ahahhh now you see the dishwasher is MINE, the one that exH and I had together broke before we split up the first time round (this time it's for good 110% certain of that), and I bought myself a nice new one..........so of course it's come with me

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 11:54

now seriously flagging after that flurry of activity....

think I may end up on the sofa once I've made DS3 some lunch.

a couple of counci results in (literally just a handful) Labour gained a few there.

OP posts:
littleducks · 07/05/2010 12:21

Ok so i have emptied dishwasher of dirty dishes, refilled with dirty ones strewn over counter and is currently on

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 12:23

well done little - I'm just finishing off a game of (free ) poker then I'm going to make DS3 some lunch - think then I can hear the sofa calling my name for a bit........if he lets me

OP posts:
Wordsonascreen · 07/05/2010 12:25

toccatanfudge · 07/05/2010 12:29
