Roasting tin, frying pan and mixing bowl

As a sign of my impending old age I have asked for kitchen things for my birthday.
I would really like a cast iron frying pan, a fantastic, rustic roasting tin, and a proper mixing ceramic-type mixing bowl.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks

I have Jamie Olivers mixing bowls and love them www.jamieoliver.com/jme/kitchen/info/mixing-bowl-with-spout-large/100070pgr.html that is one and I have small one with spout and a large one without in duck egg blue.

Get a Le Creuset shallow casserole dish, it can be used as a frying pan, but can also be bunged in the oven. They wash up so well and look lovely on the cooker!

The Jamie roasting tins are supposed to be very good but when I went to a Jamie party I was told that they were out of stock (as so popular) and nobody seemed to know when they'd be available again.

yy they are always out of stock, but are cheap but heavy. Worth waiting for

NorbertDentressangle · 28/03/2010 17:26

oh, meant to also add that we have a Le Creuset frying pan but TBH I rarely use it as its so heavy I can't manoeuvre it very easily, so only buy one if you have strong arms

Thanks everyone.
That le creuset pan looks lovely, but at £110 my DH may just laugh hysterically..

Try Lakeland.

Second lakeland. They have great mason cash mixing bowls and mermaid roasting tins. I don't know about frying pans, but I might try tk max as they always do such quality pans for realistic prices.

thatsnotmymonkey · 28/03/2010 19:50

yeah le creuset is very expensive...but you are getting two for one!

FabIsGettingThere · 28/03/2010 20:11

it is also very heavy.
