How many of you have a shopping trolley?

I didn't have a car for a bit about a year ago and I really struggled to do my shopping on foot.

So I braced myself for insults (my own mother thought I must be mad) and bought my self a trolley.

It's lovely; I can fit in all my shopping including really heavy stuff and it's so easy to pull home even my dd age 7 can do it.

I've noticed a few more of them around lately and wondered if there are any more trolley users on mn?

I have one and love it my GD's think it is great want to pull it the youngest at 6 struggles but the eldest has no problems. I still miss my coach built pram I used to load up the tray underneath with a weeks shopping and walk the mile home with shopping baby in pram and DD on toddler seat those were the days.

I have one. Great for supermarket trips cos it is too close to drive to and the shopping can be too heavy to carry. They seem to be quite popular.
PITA when empty though.

I have a removable bicycle basket. Park bicycle, walk round shop / market with basket, hook back on bike, cycle home. Marvellous.

I have one even though I have a car. Excellent to just pop to the shops to do a top up shop. It has a zipped compartment for my keys and purse too. Absolutely love it.

Wouldn't be without mine. Take it out if any shopping is heavier than three pints of milk! Saves your back and other internal organs! My husband wouldn't be seen dead with one unless I am with him so that it looks as if he is doing the manly thing by pulling it.

I spray painted a tartan one from a charity shop in bright metallic paint. Pink background, with purple and blue splodges. It looks fab and I don't feel like an old biddy when I use it (even though I am one)

Hi Everyone,
I hope you don't mind me joining in.
I need a new shopping trolley, I bought one from B&Ms last week , it was only £10 so i should not of expected much but the plastic wheel axle / fitting broke on the way home , it only had a 10 k bag of spuds in it !
So can anyone recommend a stronger one , one that can cope with grass / mud would be a big advantage ( walking over some common land saves me at least 10 minuets ) Ideally it should hold around 30 k
Any recommendations or which ones not to buy would be much appreciated.

Hi Angie, I got mine from Lakeland, think it was £30 or so. It's very sturdy and also easy to pull, Lakeland have an excellent money-back guarantee on all their products so if you did have any issues they will refund you.

I have an ikea one and mostly use it for picnics. It's great because i no longer have to lift heavy water bottles on a hot day
