Are there really people out there who wash towels after only one use?

Or am I a really gross slattern for thinking its ok to use a towel for a week before washing it?

Once people get in to a routine I guess it's hard to break.

I'm sure everyone does a sufficient amount of washing, so I wouldn't worry about doing it too often or not enough. Each to their own...

I wash bath & hand towels every 4-5 days. This seems to do us fine and nobody has ever complained about them being dirty/smelly/greasy etc.

Blimey - I have a permanent laundry mountain and I certainly don't wash towels after one use.

Tea towels as needed - although because they do tend to be quite rank (already dirtyish ones get used for wiping up spills, etc) I do often soak them in Milton & boilwash (by which I mean I have a bucket of Milton in utility room collecting teatowels and flannels for a couple of days & then I do a boil wash)

If I washed all towels after one use I would never get any clothes washed - I do love clean fresh towels but not that much.

Must admit I do at least 2 loads of washing every day. Have got a refluxy baby who can generate a load of sicky clothes every day quite easily though.

Those of you who wash towels after one use - what do you think will happen if you don't?
Do you think you will catch some dreadful disease? cos you won't

Can't speak for anyone else but I just like towels freshly washed. They're all soft & fluffy which they aren't after they've been hung on the radiator to dry. They smell lovely when they've just been washed as well. For me it's not a hygiene thing

Wow, no wonder we have global warming! We have a towel each and only wash them once a week. They don't get that dirty when they are drying a clean body.

Swimming towels are washed after each use!

I think there are people who want you to believe they wash towels after one use....

However, its up there for me, as one of those Things I Would Do If I Were A Billionaire - along with having someone to put fresh bedding on every day.

Really struggling to believe that people wash towels daily if just using them to dry after a shower.

Weekly changes here unless thry get really dirty or smelly (which never really happens)

Bedding changed fortnightly.

I work full time (10 hours a day) and would never have time to wash anything else.

That's without calcuating the cost to my pocket and the environment.
