Soapy sponge?

WD40 isn't oily like real oil & tends to evaporate by itself anyway so it shouldn't leave a mark.

It was about 3 days ago now.

I'm scared to try anyting incase I make it worse! And it's on the painted wall so i really don't want to make it worse.

list here of the many incredible uses for WD40 - including removing grease from cookers & removing crayon marks from walls!

So it shouldn't be a problem long-term. (Is it matt paint or smooth?)

even longer list on their own website

Normal emulsion paint.

Fab list though. But: "Keep flies off cows". Are they suggesting you cover cows in WD40???

oh probably - it should come in tanks

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 21/02/2010 11:04

so how long do you think it will take to evaporate?

No idea

Have you tried using a baby wipe, if you happen to have one about your person?

(I'm tempted now to spray some on one of my walls to see what happens - is your paint on plaster or does it have paper underneath?)

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 21/02/2010 15:12

Ponders, I'm really sorry about this but....

I used a bit of soap and a wet rag. Came clean off!
I was so convinced I'd need something fancy I didn't dare touch it. Then thought "sod it" and it worked.

Sorry!

ROFL!

Glad you've sorted it (I didn't get around to spraying it on mine )
