What do you keep bath toys in?

I have the DCs bath toys in a net bag on the radiator ATM and I don't like it at all. What do normal people do with them?

Ours lurked under the bath in the never used top and tail bowl that we bought when we had DC1. I have just had a major cull.

Now they are in a smallish sized bright pink plastic tub trug thing. The ducks live on the windowsill.

an enamalled tin bin from ikea

DrivenToDistraction · 19/02/2010 16:23

Mmm interesting.

I need something the water could drain out of, really. Is that not normal?

Our bathroom is kind of a wet room (no bath, just a shower) so everything gets, well, wet, every time the shower is used.

CoupleOfKooks · 19/02/2010 18:03

p.s. are you canadian?

oopsandbabycoconut · 19/02/2010 18:06

we just use a handleless colander on the side of the bath.

DrivenToDistraction · 19/02/2010 18:10

CoupleOfKooks - No, I'm not Canadian! What makes you ask That baskety thing looks ideal though, hopfully I'll be able to track one down for not to much money.

erm...the bath? The bath only gets used for the kids we have a seperate shower.

DrivenToDistraction · 19/02/2010 18:26

In a net bag that attaches to the tiles above the bath with suckers.

It came with some squeezy bath toys which got the dreaded black mould and have been "retired", but it's good for storing all the plastic tatt that ds insists on in the bath.

SayHitIsntSo · 19/02/2010 18:31

We have something like this

BelleDameSansMerci · 19/02/2010 18:32

The bath

AmazingBouncingFerret · 19/02/2010 18:34

I just have a plastic tub thing that they all go into. It doesnt have holes in the bottom so I do have to clean it when I can be arsed quite often.

CoupleOfKooks · 19/02/2010 18:35

LOL sorry
all the people I know with wet rooms are Canadian
and you, er, sounded a bit canadian

Fizzylemonade · 19/02/2010 19:19

I have the same thing as CoupleOfKooks, it is a double bucket, the inserted one has drainage holes and moulded feet so it can drain freely.

I got mine from GLTC but I have googled for all I am worth and I can't find it in stock anywhere for you. Sorry.

Maybe you could contact the manufacturer in the US to find a stockist here. It is fantastic.

skinsl · 19/02/2010 19:23

a sandcastle bucket.I just kinda keep hold of the toys and tip out the water.

MrsGokWantsatidyhouse · 19/02/2010 19:26

I have a plastic wash basket from Wilko's that I bung all the toys in when the bath is empty. It lives in the bath normally and then I just pop it in the sink while the DC are in the bath.

FourArms · 19/02/2010 21:15

I have a plastic basket (cheapy type) which I've poked holes in with scissors. Massive amounts of water go through holes in side, the rest drains over time. It does get a bit manky occasionally, so I put it in the dishwasher when it does.

taffetacat · 19/02/2010 21:29

bath bridge

only ducks and assorted sea creatures

culled the rest last year

they only really use the goggles and snorkle now anyway

leavingonajetplane · 19/02/2010 21:31

Try a wire wastepaper basket.

Cheap, perfect drainage and works a treat
