what's the best thing for getting rid of the stain created by - ahem - backsplash on the underside of a plastic toilet seat?

Also, if you use a loo brush how do you keep the brush clean

I soak brush sometimes in bleach by filling its container up with bleach and water and then draining it after a few hours.

CIF cream managed to get rid of most things for me.

Maybe someone else will have a better idea though...

I squirt toilet cleaner on the brush and give it a good rinse in the flush. And replace it regularly!

Not sure about stains - bleach would probably work, but might be messy. I clean the whole thing regularly with antibac spray, find prevention is better than cure.

I had a house full of boys and the underside of the loo seat got a bit yuk too. I'd wear rubber gloves and use a scouring sponge and cif cleaner.

to clean the brush, I first clean the loo, then leave the brush in the loo with a fresh squirt of bleach (it helps that I can lock the door from the outside while doing it)!.

Not sure about the stains, but I keep disposable wipes for more regular cleaning. Change the loo seat?! Darker colour?!

I could have posted this op!
It's boys and husbands who are to blame. I'm going to buy new toilet seats.

thanks; will try Cif (glad I'm not totally alone!)
