How do you store, arrange, "see" children's tights?

My daughter has loads of tights - we don't have a chest of drawers in her room and they are currently slung on a shelf in the wardrobe where they look like a bit messy and they all fall out when she looks for a pair. Has anyone got a clever way of storing/seeing tights?

When she had a few pairs I had them on a clipped hanger but now she has more this results in all hangers being pulled off the rail. If she has a drawer I could get the clever honeycomb trays where you can roll up socks/tight and put in.

Any clever suggestions? Thanks

Ice cream tubs. School ones in one tub, coloured/party ones in another. If you have drawers you can put the tubs in the drawers and I do the same for pants and socks aswell. Makes it easy to split up school socks, normal socks, trainer socks etc etc

could you put a shallow box/tray on the wardrobe shelf so you could pull it out like a drawer? I don't have a chest of drawers and so do this for my socks, underwear etc

Underbed drawer? Wire basket/plastic box on bottom of wardrobe or on shelf in wardrobe?

I have little baskets (cheap plastic ones)in the Dcs drawers, each one has got his/her sock/tights basket and underwear basket, seems to wok for us.

Folded on a shelf in her wardrobe. I try not to have lots of pairs on the go at once.

I knew you were going to say that Bonsoir, queen of decluttering

Bonsoir · 31/01/2010 11:11

I can feel that my anti-clutter stance is going to be sorely tried by DD's burgeoning shoe habit .

tied in a knot, then in a basket

My dd has about 12 pairs - she only wears skirts and tights (can't get a pair of trousers on her). She "needs them mummy". She is nearly 4.

Maybe the solution is to chuck our her baby annabelle changing station and get a chest of drawers - can you imagine?

Rolled up, in a biscuit box (in a drawer, but would work on a shelf)

Hulababy · 31/01/2010 11:22

Dd has a couple of baskets in her wardrobe. One has pants in, the other socks and tights. No order or anything but easy enough to pile all back into basket after getting the pair she wants.

stressed2007 · 31/01/2010 11:24

maybe I will have to keep to the chuck in and out method then
