Is this safe to eat?

I cooked tuna pasta with sweetcorn and a cheese sauce last night for my DS and his friend who is coming round today.

I left it in a saucepan cooling and it was on the counter overnight as I went to bed early, so didn't manage to get it into the fridge before I went to bed.

Its in the fridge now, and I will reheat later. Is it ok to eat do you think? I don't want to give them food poisoning and after a nasty incident with tuna myself in the past I can't touch the stuff!

I do this sometimes and have always been OK. How warm is your house overnight? Do you leave the heating on?

Thanks Stealth, heating has been on thermostat since arrival of DS2 so bit hotter than normal, rather toasty in fact. That's not great is it?

no, sorry Wait to see what others say before you throw it out though, I might be being neurotic

I would rather err on the side of caution, I don't want to poison his friend (or DS1 of course). I could cook up a fresh batch I suppose, its just that I'm just such a rubbish cook I didn't want to do it while they were here as I will be getting all flustered!

I wouldn't, but that's only me..

gemmiegoatlegs · 29/01/2010 14:43

definitely not

Cooked up new batch which went down well (and not too stressful making it either). I wouldn't have been able to watch them eat the old one!

Pasta?

no!

Pasta and rice are more likely to give you food poisoning than meat.
