Anyone had their home industrially cleaned?

Before children, we were too lazy to do any more than the minimum of cleaning. Now we have two small children, and two full time jobs - so we don't have the time or energy to do more than the minimum of cleaning. Can't afford regular cleaner [and have really tried to justify it!]

However, as our flat is now looking very scruffy indeed [and we are moving in the next two years], we are considering paying for a huge, one off clean by industrial cleaners, in an attempt to 'undo the damage' of our pathetic attempts over the years.

Anyone done this? Can you really see a dramatic difference? How long would one need to get them in for? Any recommendations [am in south London].

Thanks

we did this before dc3 was born. It was fab, but the only thing was it really showed up where we needed to paint/ redecorate etc...

but it did motivate us to keep it (marginally) cleaner.

Cost was about £150 and took all day. (but not in London)

I have two companies booked to quote for a (pre new baby) one-off 'spring clean' - will let you know what they say.

well one lot have just been

is a townhouse - 4 beds, bathroom, shower room, living room, kitchen/diner
They said £290 for a 'spring clean' inc
dusting, inc long-handled on the stairs
hoovering (moving sofas but not beds)
washing paintwork, skirting boards, cupboard fronts, top of kitchen cabinets
cleaning oven

but not
taking books off bookshelves
inside kitchen cupboards
defrosting freezer/fridge

£290

is too much and as we've only been there a year stuff like skirting boards doesn;t atually need doing that badly - next people I will get quote to 'spring clean' kitchen and bathroom only and just dust and hoover elsewhere I think.

no advice on price, but look at the small jobs you can do yourself like clean the fridge, little jobs etc and ask them would they do big jobs like if your walls are painted will they wash them, will they scrub the tiles in the bathroom/kitchen, clean the oven etc and could you have you carpets washed, get them to do the big things and you do the little things and get things organised and things you dont want them to clean, cleaned before they come so when they do there job and leave you house will look ace.good luck I have zero motivation at the moment to clean x
