Someone jsut told me about terracycle.

It looks rather good, I've jsut signed up to the tassimo one, they send out two boxes with return postage paid. I fill them up with T Discs and return them, and they donate 2p per disc to the Rainforest Alliance.

Thanks chopstheduck. This is exactly what I need.

Got a new Tassimo for my birthday recently, DH said it's a little luxury! After the novelty wore off of trying all the different flavours etc, I felt really guilty about the huge pile of pods that couldn't go in our normal recycling. I haven't put them in the ordinary bin yet either. Thought I was going to have to save using my Tassimo for little treats every so often because of the waste!

I will definitely sign up.

What does TeamName bit mean?
What did you enter, plus for the organisation type?

Good for you for doing this but it makes you wonder really why such a wasteful product was invented and marketed in the first place. The percentage of pods sent back will be tiny, and the rest will end up in landfill.

Kraft foods is part of Phillip Morris and they are very good at putting a positive spin on products which are essentially harmful.

I jsut put Surname Family

I suppose it's for groups who sign up, but it does seem to be open to individuals too.
