Meyer Analon pans.

They are anodised steel so completely non-stick and absolutely fantastic and I love them! Although I don't think they are dishwasher safe.

You'd probably want to find them in a sale though as they are quite pricy. We got ours 70% off in a Debenhams blue cross sale.

Best kitchen purchase we have made!

I have ICM Le Pentole - they are seemingly indestructible and go on the hob and in the oven, and, most importantly, are really very easy to cook with.

But it totally depends on your budget.

off to check out both of those, thank you. I last bought Pampered Chef ones, I've had them about 5 years but they are pretty naff now. No idea how much I paid for them.

If you got the decent ones, they've got a lifetime guarantee...

MakemineaGandT · 07/01/2010 21:05

if you can afford it, go for Fissler pans

they are fantastic

Circulon

buy them heavily discounted from Costco

muppetgirl · 07/01/2010 21:09

I love my le crueset ones. Have had 2 years, used everyday and they look still like new. You can stick them in the oven and use as casserole dishes too.

midnightexpress · 07/01/2010 21:10

YY to circulon. I was looking at pans in TK Maxx today and they had some Circulon ones there. I also saw some very cheap cast iron le creuset style stuff in Aldi today.

mckenzie · 07/01/2010 21:15

oh no! I'm going to be spoilt for choice now and not know which to go for!

half price sale on procook website which have got some really cook pans. got some of the elite try-ply saucepans and they're great. should be £70, now £35.

I would say that Le Creuset are not all they are cracked up to be. Had a problem with one of mine and when I went back to the shop they said that you cannot even pour a tin of tomatoes into your warm pan, as this gives it too much of a shock and can crack the enamel.

I find they take too long to boil for things like pasta and are not very economical, so I use a couple of old pans I have for things like that.

They are great for putting in the oven though.

I would definitely NOT buy any more.

Mung - not heard that re the tomatoes, will bear that in mind would make sense though re the enamel. Dh is always putting them on the hot stove with nothing in them and that does my head in!

They aren't non-stick for things like scrambled eggs so I also have a cheap non-stick pan to do sticky things on.
