Oh I want some recommendations too. I have a fabulous mop that I bought from a Flower Show but I can't find replacement heads anywhere and I have forgotten what make it is.

Oooh yes I am buying one on Friday (saddo) so will check this thread for some good mop ideas.

I used to be so so cool...not now!

I've got a thing that you put a cotton rectangle thingy on and get it damp and spray on your surface cleaner, then do the floor.
Then (and here's the bit i like), you take it off and put it in the laundry.
Have no idea what it's called though.

Well, I bought a Method oMop recently, which I was so impressed with, I ended up buying pretty much all of their cleaning products It says it's for a wood floor, but I've used mine on wood, laminate, tiles and lino and it works perfectly fine.

Nevergoogle, it may be we have the same one, as that also applies with the oMop ie washable head/pad.

I have a vileda that comes with a squirty chamber on the side that you can fill with product/water of your own choice, so you don't need a bucket, and a flat pad that you put a Vileda cloth on. The recommendation is that you dispose of the cloth after each use but you can easily use them more than once, or flip it over to use the other side or even attach an old rag of your own to it! The advantage is it's very easy to whip it out when you spot some dirt without the effort of getting a bucket etc... the disadvantage is that if your floor is absolutely encrusted with dirt (I'm thinking major mud or the contents of a plate) this mop might not be up to the job....

I bought ours from Sainsbury's - where I usually do our local shop. It was a good plan as they always have the spare parts for it, ie new mop heads. Unfortunately they need replacing quite a lot!

I bought myself a new mop as a pre christmas treat .

It's a Vileda Magic Mop, it has a built in wringer, so I can wring it almost dry before storing it, also stops the floor getting too wet.
