Anyone know where I can get a Paddington Bear duvet set?

Trying to find something DD will really like (she's just 2) - doesn't necessarily have to be PB but she's a big fan of the books so I thought it might work. Alternatively something else a bit retro, quite colourful, not too pink. Also, is bedding for cot beds and junior beds the same size?

Thank you

is it for a cot/junior bed?

some in single size on ebay

if you can sew, and you need it in a smaller size you could buy one, or wsome fabric with PB on and sew it onto a smaller plain coloured duvet cover

what about making it yourself?

I have a mainly red PB duvet cover and pillowcase that has been well loved. Mine were never particular fans of PB (I was - as a child!) but they loved the duvet cover, are all a little old for it now!
I got mine new off the internet years ago.
Doesnt look like any of the ebay ones above.

Don't know about Paddington but, along the retro/not too pink lines, I have seen Very Hungry Caterpillar duvet covers recently- John Lewis I think.

I had a PB duvet cover, curtains, lamshade, thew works 30+ years ago!

BikeRunSnowFlake's is brilliant idea, saw those a few months ago, they looked lovely.

sorry - went to bed then embarked on a massive decluttering session this morning.

Thanks for all the ideas.

thisisyesterday - re cot bed or junior bed, probably both, she'll be starting in a cot bed and then moving to a junior bed when the new baby takes over the cot in a few months time. It's unlikely to be a single bed though because her new room is quite small and I'm going to try and hold off getting a single bed for a few years to save space. So sadly the Ebay ones won't work (think I had something similar myself as a child actually).

Love the idea of making something unique but I literally don't have a clue how to sew and realistically I'm unlikely to learn in the few weeks before new baby arrives.

BikeRun the hungry caterpillar ones sounds lovely - will look into that, thanks.

hungry caterpillar In Next. It looks lovely

you coudl still buy a singel duvet for her toddler bed. It'd be easier to find bedding then. You'd just need a smaller sheet if you're buying fitted.

somethinganything · 30/12/2009 11:06

Ooh yes, that is lovely!

Eddas so you don't reckon that'd completely swamp the bed? I suppose I could do that and just stick with the bedding she's currently got in the cot bed (a random selection of blankets) until she moves
