Dh's car seems to have become filled with loads of water (faulty seal on windscreen, I think.
Anyway. true to form, he has left it for ages and not done anything about it. When he is on an incline, all the water rushes to the front footwells - and it seems there is a lot.
We have removed the dripping mats and mopped up as much as we can but the carpets are squelchy and sodden. They feel like what I imagine a water bed would be like!
I bought some dehumidifier crystals today but having now seen the extent of the problem, I think, we'll need more than that!
Am I right in thinking that a 'wet vacuum' would suck up water and could help? I see that there are small hand held ones available. Would these be any good, or just a waste of money? Any others that would be good?
Hire costs seem quite expensive but I gues these machines might be more powerful.
Whatever we use has to be small enough to fit into the footwells of the car.
Any ideas?
