Hi,

I'm having trouble removing deodorant from work shirts, they are only a couple of months old but I can't get the marks out after each wear, I must be missing something I'm sure. We're new to the uk so I am also new to all the products here perhaps we're using the wrong ones?

I've tried soaking the work shirts, rubbing them with pre-wash products and using in-wash stain removal products too but I still can't get all of the deodorant stains out - How do you do it? What products should I use? Is there a special way I should wash them?

Should we use different deodorants - shat are the brands that won't cake up / stain?

Thanks for any advice...

Soak them in Napisan overnight, then wash at 60 with Daz - they need biological detergent to shift it

what do you use at the moment>?

You should let anti-perspirant/ deodorant dry before putting clothes on, so I think that's what's happening. I used to have the same issue, and it was becasue the deodorant was still wet when the fabric came into contact with it and it dried in on the shirt.

Interesting diffID! Must tell DH that. His shirts are a disaster.

How do I deal with it? I junk them regularly and buy new.

I wish I could do that, but I have to wear company unifrom and so does dh. WE get a set amount of uniform a year and that is it. I deliberately shrank 2 of my tops to get new ones and I have had no problmes with deo marks since I let my underams dry out. Try using a roll on as well and not a spray as they're more effective anyway and kinder to the environment and your lungs

That's a pain diffID. DH is a boring accountant so just wears shirts.

No sprays allowed here. I use powder sticks but am not as sweaty as DH. He uses gel sticks.
