My quick wash takes 30 mins @ 40C. Machine is good- Miele.
Do you wash your coloured undies- socks, boxers etc at 40C normal wash- mine takes over an hour- or quick wash?
Is there any difference really?

okay- but do you do a loooooooooong 30 or a quick wash?

What I don't get is why clothes need to be agitated for over an hour-can't a quick wash cope with them all? ( except really dirty stuff?)

I used to wash everything at 30C, even a quick wash cycle at 30C was fine for most things. Then we bought a house and have a very basic, nbot very good machine and I have to wash at 40C otherwise stuff just come out clean.

I do virtually everything on a quick wash at 40c, the next cycle up is an hour and half@ 60c and can't see it makes much difference to be honest.

anyone else?
I can do basically anything with this machine- quick wash at 40C, then various cycles for wool, silks, manmade, etc etc at 30 or 40C, as well as normal longer cycles of 40, 60, 75 and 90.

I think my 'quick' wash is a cold one, if I want to do a couple of items I put them on a 'silks' cycle which is at 30 and a 20-30 mins cycle.

Usually sort washing into whites and colours and do both loads at 40 which seems to take over an hour.

Wash nappies on a cold cycle with detergent and alternate a 40 and 60 wash with no detergent followed by a rinse and spin.
It does seem a lot of washing / electricity for 15 nappies.

I do everything on a quick wash at 40

My quick wash takes about 45 mins

Everything comes out clean.
