Ahh cleaming my favourite conversation! (I know, I know I am a saddo!)

I use the Tesco or Wilkinson's own brand bathroom cleaners- both 59p for a spray bottle, and as I clean (well swish & swipe!) bathrooms every day they dont need any real power behind them, so I dont know that they are really good or anything, but they are so darn cheap that I can keep one in each bathroom

Microfibre cloths are absolutely the only thing to clean with! I love mine, and have about 10 so I can wash them as soon as they get even a teeny bit grubby. Value are just as good as premium, so dont pay more than 50p a cloth- unless you want colours of course Which I do, but have so far resisted

For glass I use Mr Muscle if on offer or Wilko's own and newspaper

Fabric conditioner I just use Daisy- Tesco's own. Dont know if it is good but smells nice.

If you want a really good cheap all purpose cleaner then get an empty spray bottle and fill 1/4 with stardrops (about 50p per bottle) and top up with warm water. You can use it for anything then and it is instantly ready. I use it to wipe down all my kitchen surfaces and gloss over the cooker 2 or 3 times a day. Its a fab degreaser.

For my loos I use 10p Tesco's shower gel in the loo brush holder ala Flylady. Smells nice, works well, leaves bubbles in loo and is VERY cheap!!

Cant think of anything else, but if I do I will be back!

White vinegar is great for glass (can get in spray bottle in cleaning section in Wilkinsons) it smells horrible but works really well.

SixtyFootDoll · 25/11/2009 13:08

I love the smell of 'Method' bathroom spray and their glass cleaner.
Micrfibre cloths are the dogs as is my micro feather duster

GypsyMoth · 25/11/2009 13:29

thanks ladies!!

so a trip to wilkinsons it is then! and i need some microfibre cloths. seen them but not got any so far.

glass....will try the vinegar. my dc's knock on front window rather than the door,so always got marks on it. and i always clean but end up with smears! so will try

cleaning is a job i enjoy once i get going...feel much more inspired when i have new products to use/smell

The HG products (available in good hardware stores) are all amazing and so much better than anything you can get in a supermarket.

Try the Bath Shine and the Mould Spray in your bathroom and you will be entranced converted

GypsyMoth · 25/11/2009 17:24

hg....widely available in hardware stores i hope then! don't have a mould problem, but want a shiny bath!!

I use:

Mr Muscle Window & Glass on er, windows and glass

Mr Muscle lime and vinegar spray in the kitchen

Toilet Duck in the toilet as well as one of thos in cistern things.

Flash spray with bleach on stubborn bits.

Morrisons own fabric conditioner.

Soda crystals in with the wash to boost the detergent.

Have to recommend Sainsbury's own fabric softener (the green coloured one) - I can quite often be found sniffing that in the kitchen (34 weeks pg at the moment, have developed an obsession with it!)

the HG products are great, Lakeland sell them if you can't find them in your local DIY shop. They also do microfibre cloths.

That's a good tip on shower gel in the loo brush holder dreamteamgirl - might have to start doing that!
