Cleaning the Glass on Inside of the Oven Door

While cleaning the glass on the inside of the oven door, I have discovered that a paint scraper is my friend! It scrapes off most of the grease from the door, leaving you just to spray it with a kitchen cleaner and scrub it off with a sponge scourer....

I use the ceramic hob scraper myself! There is actually a tool specifically for this job which you stick razor blades in. But it is, yes essentially a paint scraper!

Be careful what cleaner you use. I used an abrasive cleaner (against instruction book advice ), and the interior glass shattered the next time I used the oven. Fortunately most of it stayed IN the oven, but it frightened the life out of me!
