Lakeland Catalogue- showerguard and sonic brushes?

God what a boring title. But I'm sitting with a cup of tea and the Lakeland "must prepare for Xmas" catalogue. Does showerguard work or should I stick with my trusty E cloths?
And do these sonic bathroom brushes do what they say- I'm thinking grouting which has discoloured due to using shampoo for brunettes. Also awkward corners in the shower doors.

I use my steamer for those jobs. Am sorely tempted by the heated clothes horses though.

ilovemydogandmrobama · 24/10/2009 14:08

Steamer?

whomovedmychocolate · 24/10/2009 14:11

Steam cleaner, great on tiles, blasts the crud off!

ilovemydogandmrobama · 24/10/2009 14:24

Wow -- thanks! Have a wall paper steamer. When moved into DP's batchelor pad house, there was miles and miles of woodchip and made it my personal mission to get it off every single surface.

grin · 24/10/2009 14:24

Ooh I want a steamer. What sort have you got?

Bucharest · 24/10/2009 14:34

I want a steam cleaner, but have a sonic thingy- it is v good in nooks and crannies.....

grin · 24/10/2009 14:36

am googling sonic thingies

Bucharest · 24/10/2009 18:18

Eek, do tell us what google comes up with apart from domestic appliances......

whomovedmychocolate · 24/10/2009 18:32

It's a Polti steamer.

whomovedmychocolate · 24/10/2009 18:33

Just been to lakeland btw and spent £15 on two magnets to put in the loo cistern

grin · 24/10/2009 19:31

Hee hee sadly nothing amusing that I found...
Thanks WMMC, will look into it. Magnets, what they meant to do?

Prevent limescale and scum build up (perhaps could be used outside poling stations to stop votes for the BNP?)

grin · 24/10/2009 19:39

Oooh good Lidl tip! I love Lakeland. I wish I was rich and could buy gadgets to my heart's content.

whomovedmychocolate · 24/10/2009 19:41

I use my old sonic toothbrush on the taps with Viakal - it does get them v sparkly!

grin · 24/10/2009 19:44

Am now on Lakeland website. Am supposed to be cooking dinner...it's a slippery slope...

whomovedmychocolate · 24/10/2009 20:27

I have just sent my christmas wish list from Lakeland to my inlaws who asked for ideas

raindroprhyme · 24/10/2009 20:34

i used mould zapping stuff from lakeland on my bathroon ceiling as it was rank. worked a treat so did tiles in shower as well. they are beautiful and shiny. have been using that other shower scum preventer stuff since and still all lovely.(sorry pregnant brain)./

whomovedmychocolate · 24/10/2009 20:38

I also used the mould zapping stuff on my silicon tile sealant and it really does do the job. But it's pretty noxious stuff, I wouldn't be doing it if I was pregnant!

boodeniites · 24/10/2009 20:41

off topic but i like lakelands Bath shine best product ive had for cleaning the bathroom etc and smells nice too>>>stepford wife

ilovemydogandmrobama · 24/10/2009 20:43

nominated wmmc for quote of the week. Images of magnets outside polling stations!

whomovedmychocolate · 24/10/2009 20:45

Why thank you!

Miggsie · 24/10/2009 20:49

The showerguard stuff does work...but only when you actually use it....I have not the housewifery skills to remember to use it every day after the first week...

Yes, the mould killer is fab.

And the stay fresh bags for food...they really work!
