Ladybirds colonizing my bathroom

My bathroom ceiling seems to be the hibernation place of choice for the local ladybird population.

I've counted twenty-three so far. They come in, huddle together in the corners and don't seem to move at all.

I like ladybirds.

My question for you all: is it gross/revolting/unhygienic to just let them get on with it?

And if you think I should get rid of them, what do you suggest? Killing them is not an option.

I would sweep into a recepticule and dispose out of window

AvengingGerbil · 15/10/2009 13:19

But Cybil they just come straight back in again. And I can't keep the window shut all the time, it's the only ventilation the room has...

Urgh. I would hoover them up, sorry.

AvengingGerbil · 15/10/2009 13:22

Don't be sorry! I thought I might just be being sentimental about the cute spotty bugs - but they are bugs, I guess...

They want to hibernate over the winter.

AvengingGerbil · 15/10/2009 13:27

Yes, but should I let them hibernate in my bathroom???

(I even have a perfectly nice ladybird hibernation box in the garden, but will they go in it? Will they heck as like.)

Could you sweep them up and put them in the hibernation box?
