Induction hob

I am only posting this because I did a lot of research on MN on this topic and there wasn't much, so don't anyone feel obliged to reply!

We didn't know whether to get a gas hob or induction, when we moved the kitchen into another room. We decided into the end to get an electricity supply put in, rather than lift up the floor to run gas pipes in, etc.

We got a NEFF induction hob and it is really great. It doesn't switch itself off if water splashes onto it (unless it's a lot). It doesn't have an alarm, I don't think. It is as controllable as gas - and we are both foodies who cook a lot and were really snobby about gas - and super easy to clean.

I first had an induction hob in Japan about 12 years ago. When came back to UK found them really really hard to find, but since had 2 (2 different houses) and loved them! So I would recommend too!
