Hello to all.
swanriver Sorry to hear that you had another relatively horrid day. That's it now. I declare that you have had your quota of horrid days for 2009 and all the rest are going to be nice ones!
Starbear It's good to hear that you had a much better day.
Ruby I like the sound of all your clothes. Good luck with the shirt/blousy things shopping! I'll have your dd for a bit. After living with me you can bet your bottom dollar she'd be begging to come home!
My first au pair said "It'll be great living here, you eat so healthily!" By about day 2 oor 3 she'd changed her mind and was craving sugary rubbish which I don't buy and she was too tight to buy them with her own earnings so that was that for the next 7 months!
galen If I need to change my dog's food then I introduce it 50/50 for a week or more and offer a bit less than usual so she is a little hungrier than usual for the first couple of times. I started to buy mine canned food and a friend told me not to as I was spoiling her and she'd refuse the dry food completely if I carried on. She does lick out the cat's wet food bowls which she regards as a treat!
OSAHM As I was shopping today I remembered how grateful I was when they put a creche in our local supermarket and we could pay for it using loyalty points. With two children close in age, that creche was brilliant. They've since removed it from the store and I sympathise with all parents who are shopping with little ones in tow. Dd's bf is very nice. He is 6', bless him! Teenage relationships are fine when they're going well. It's break-ups which are hard for them to deal with and their feelings get hurt which hurts us, too. Still, it happens to us all at some point or another, I guess.
Right. That's it, I'm off to bed. I made cakes today and have eaten a shop-bought doughnut (that was my lunch, I forgot to have anything else), two slices of home made banana cake and a home made lemon sponge cupcake. All very nice but Lord knows how many calories were in that lot!
