Electric blankets?

Now that its getting chilly at night, I am thinking about an electric blanket.
Anyone have any suggestions as there is a huge choice, fitted or with ties? dual control, extra foot pad, fast heat up? Who knew the world of electric blankets was so exciting?

I got mine from John Lewis last year. It is quilted and has dual controls and a foot warmer. When it is not on it is just like a mattress protector, so not hot when you don't need it. Live in Scotland so it's been on already. Lovely to get into a warm bed. Buy one as soon as they come in to the shops as they sell out very quickly.

I bought this one last week and it's fantastic!! I really really feel the cold, even in summer but I've slept so much better already

Thanks, have gone for the dreamland blanket.
Maybe I won't need to put the heating on for a few more weeks now.

I hope you'll love it as much as I do!

I put it on the hottest setting to warm the bed up before I get in then put it on 3 to keep a bit of warmth all night

I was so miserable last winter with the cold and was really dreading this one but hopefully it will be much better now.

You'll sleep so much better, I'm sure. I got mine when DH left after nearly 20 years of marriage. I was always very warm in bed and was shocked at how cold it was being alone in a kingsize. I too start mine at 9 then turn it to 3 for the 75 min setting. Last winter I got good at reaching over in the night to switch it back on again - bliss. Enjoy.
