morning ladies,

what dreadfull news for poor trinity, I have no idea how you recover from something like that, although I know people do.

yesterday was a family day we went to our local MaizeMaze and it was fantastic, the boys were on good form and DH relaxed with them for the first time in ages

have got washing and stuff to do today, there is still about a 5 load mountain sitting by the machine am determined that by the time the boys go back I won't be spending all my time washing and ironing.

may not be back intoday.. hope you all have fun and enjoy the good weather.

tm I think it would be nice if we did something for her from fly, I know there is a general fund but I think it would be nice if we could at least send a card from the flygirls so she knows we are thinking of her and are there for her.

Done

cake in oven
bread in breadmaker
wm unloaded, reloaded and on
washing hung up

spoke to mum, they are coming for tea. Have told them not to expect a clean house!!!!

Morning all,
Good idea Tortoise.
All chores done yesterday even painted my toe nails which DH remembered I used to do with fondness. Washing left out on the line over night but very little dew so all dry an collected in. Avoided wine flu from yesterday Off to visit friends in Winchester today. May not avoid the wine flu tomorrow DH has a very bad back so must be kind to him and get going.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone

On the other thread a lot of people are signing a group card here maybe we could do a separate FLY one? Haven't looked at how it works as i really need to go get some shopping now but will check later if no-one else has set one up .

Has your menu planning been working out as expected Wolfcub? I remember you had a wonderful one a while back which was costed and everything. Just interested..

That's a lovely song TM - in fact your blog is really better than any sunday supplement.
You should be a columnist somewhere.

Hunt the school stuff is sending shivers down my spine - luckily never quite got round to putting much away so most of it may still be sitting in hall...and they also wear summer uniform till half term.

We have so far this morning

Been to church (me in tears but felt better aterwards)
Seen friends there
Lunch fsh and mashed pots
Bought some groceries but not in any organised way

Think PHC [post holiday collapse] is in order
Dh and I are simmering again over admin matters and not in a good way - think better just not create any aggro.
Also he is going to put up some bookshelves in our bedroom for me today or tomorrow.

That's great that your brother has done so much painting Tortoise,
and anniversary time sounds a real life saver Prof.

All five of us to visit friend this afternoon - now they are watching Monster House - no idea what it is but dh is supervising.

Hello There!

Laptop needs attention so I'm on Ed's PC as a stop gap. Plus I've been well busy keeping on top of things. Today's project has been to cull stuff from my drawers and wardrobe

Just seen the news about Trinity. How terrible. Just leaves you cold. Everything just seems insignificant after that

swan menu planning works really well for us. I occasionally go completely off the rails but it isn't too hard to get back on. The hardest thing is sticking to the plan after a really hard day at work but I try to plan quick and easy meals in mid week to ease the burden. I have just done my whole month plan for september and will post if you'd like to see?

guess what:

more piggin washing up
made about 40 hob-nob type biccies
cleaned another kitchen surface

back again

been to tescso for a few bits
finished cleaning kitchen
unload dw, reload and on
kitchen drawer and cutlery tray and all contents washed
cleaned bathroom
vac living room
tidied up toys from living room

dp and ds have been doing craft activities on the kitchen table - i think it will take me a while to get all the pva off!

Wolf Invest in a cheap oilcloth, they are great - Ikea do them for 5.99 a metre. I would love a cath kidston one, but too pricey for me. Also yes please to the menu plan.

I now have black/brown hair instead of the wicked witch grey look

We have had a lovley day, biking, swinging, flying kites, walking the esplanade and eating currys.

See you guys in the mornng

Night ladies, glad you're all having a lovely weekend - back from the Zoo, it was fun, watching Wuthering Heights and analysing like I'm still an English teacher (well, a working one!)
See you tomorrow

Chalk board wall looks fab TM. Do you end with much chalk dust on the floor?

Have been in the loft again for an hour once DD's were in bed. I think i have nearly sorted it all. Am very pleased. Lots of rubbish chucked out and lots of boxes to burn tomorrow.

What do FLY peeps do with Birthday/Christmas cards? I have mainly kept family ones but TBH kind of wanted to chuck out most of them as it seems pointless to keep most of them.

Report
Jas · 30/08/2009 22:41

I've kept the 1st birthday cards from all three children. Everything else goes in the recycling as soon as they come down from the wall, unless one of the dds wants it for some reason, or it is of particular sentimental value.

Jas · 30/08/2009 22:42

I reuse christmas cards to make decorations the next year, or as gift tags.
