Platesmasher - Oooh it's the same colour as your stick?

justineandcarrieneedanewlawyer · 17/08/2009 12:39

very funny indeed.
disclaimer - we only moved in a month ago.

Natural oiled wood (iroko to be more precise)

ProfYaffle · 17/08/2009 12:48

Purple.Because the decorater didn't seem to know what 'burgundy' was

Jaquelinehyde · 17/08/2009 13:02

Black gloss. It's a huge door with two frosted glas windows and gold door furniture

CybilLiberty · 17/08/2009 13:03

Rip Off Farrow and Ball colour, grey green.

MadameCastafiore · 17/08/2009 13:05

Black gloss - we live in a v old listed house and are not allowed to change it without going theough the council and applying and then there are few colours we can change it to so it stays!

sheepgomeep · 17/08/2009 22:33

white pvc and the council chose it. Have no choice in the matter and not allowed to replace

GrimmaTheNome · 17/08/2009 22:36

Mahogany, the same as the builders painted it to begin with. Because the whole cul-de-sac is the same and evidently we are all conformists!

Fayrazzled · 17/08/2009 22:36

Farrow & Ball Rectory Red, and I love it.

FritesMenthe · 17/08/2009 22:41

Dark green, chosen by the previous owners. Our next door neighbours have painted theirs a soft grey-green to complement it.

I quite fancy glossy aubergine.

magbags · 18/08/2009 15:12

Royal blue which I thought would look good with the white climbing plants we have either side and over the door!

Fimbo · 18/08/2009 15:16

Royal blue - courtesy of George Wimpey or Taylor Wimpey as they are now. I want to change it to black along with the garage doors.

SparkyToo · 18/08/2009 21:22

It was green for ages - as had been since we bought the house, then we just kept repainting it green. Last time the front door was painted though, I went for black - thought it would look smarter!

pillar box red, matches the garage doors, I like it

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 18/08/2009 21:31

Stained timber. I had planned to paint our new door a funky colour, but when I saw the lovely timber I wanted to accentuate its timber-ness, IYSWIM.

GoldenSnitch · 18/08/2009 21:42

Pillar box red.

Am slightly ashamed of the naff-ness of the reason though

It's apparently good Feng Shui - brings money in

I read it somewhere then got a picture of a beautiful red front door in my head and had to have one....

CarmelitaMiggs · 18/08/2009 21:47

battleship grey, thought it would look smart and hide dirt
Olive, that pale french olive, next time
