Help How do I clean a non-stick pan?

I have stupidly got some fish stuck to my circulon non-stick frying pan and cannot remove it as can't obviously use trusty wiry cleaner thingy.

It wouldn't normally stick but was cooking it in sticky sugary marinade (Damn you Nigella!)

The fish has gone but the black sugar substance remains.

Please help!

try adding cola...apparently it removes burnt on stains.

Was going to suggest coke too- I think if you boil it in the pan it removes stains.

but it's full of sugar. Won't I just be boiling it on???

bio washing powder and boiling water, brings it up like new, just simmer it for abour 10 minutes.

I did similar and used coke, just add it to the pan, heat and tip out and the burnt on food will wipe out. It is really good

Ok, am convinced. Will give it a go!

Fill the pan with water and put in a dishwasher tablet and leave to soak overnight. Should be easy to clean in then - if the coke doesn't work!

If its sugar-based, soaking in boiling water should dissolve it. (not sure about the bio detergent in this case - that's great for proteins)

Boiled the coke in it till it started turning syrupy (!!!). Poured it out and...it had made no difference at all.

Now boiling it with just water......

The water didn't work either!

Will try the bicarb of soda next as don't have dishwater tablets or bio washing powder.

Simmering with bio washing powder for 15 mins always works here. Did it a few days ago with a baking tray that was coated in a sticky honey marinade.

Soaking overnight in steradent [sp?] denture cleaning stuff is supposed to work a treat to, but I'm guessing you might not have that in the house at the moment.

No, no steradent here, thank god. No bio washing powder but will buy some and try that!

have you tried those "non-stick" scrubbies - the white rather than green ones?

I've not seem those. Are they the half-sponge half-scrubby ones?
