If so how much did it cost?

Yes, I had it done at the beginning of the summer - it looked like new - no chemicals used either just brute force. Absolutely fantastic. Still looks like new as don't want to use it - have been bar-b-queing everything since (even when raining!).

I never kenw there were dedicated oven-cleaning people.
I get DH to do it.

Yep - twice a year, £50. Well worth it.

a friend of mine paid around £45 for her oven to be done and said it was worth every penny!

i am seriously wondering if i should use some of my birthday money for this! DH thinks i'm mad but to me this would be a treat!

My mother paid for hers.

It has a glass inner door which needs two people to remove and clean and even then it's a right faff.

She's in her 70s so it's imposs for her to do. She confessed to me that she'd had it done (they also replaced the inner light) and clearly felt it had been an extravagance...it cost £35!

(I had been expecting £200 from the way she spoke!)

Oh it is heaven to get it done. I farking hate that job - the fumes make me feel sick and by the time I have tried to get the door off to clean inside I am too knackered to want to put it all back together again. It takes ages to do it thoroughly.

I had mine done a couple of weeks a go. I made us both a cup of coffee and sat down and watched him for a while. T'was very theraputic.
