do you always change the sheets when you've had child visitors?

we have visitors quite a lot. for one or two nights. is it really awful to just change the pillow cases and not change the sheets/duvet covers? I'm only talking about beds that are slept in by kids. much as I hate it I do always change everything for adults.

No - I always seem to have an extra child or two, and I don't change the sheet, duvet cover or pillowcase. They're smelly teenage boys, so not that discerning.

eeep. I always change sheets. Its something that makes my flesh crawl to think that someone might not change sheets. Im happy to stare at the pile of washing up but am a freak about sheets and towels.

But when teenagers stay over unexpectedly, they quite often sleep in their clothes or their dirty t-shirts and boxers. I would feel that I'd wasted a clean sheet on them!

I haven't actually done this yet (not changed the sheets). was just wondering how awful it would be not to. what about sleeping bags used by child visitors?

Kids don't care, and what's more they don't know cos you don't point it out. So what would be the point??

We often have a few kids to stay at a time so some one sleeps in my boys bunks and others sleep in guest room with DS1. So they often sleep in DS1's bunk bed on his sheets which may have been there for a week, or even more! They've never batted an eyelid.

Don't make work, there are better ways to spend your time than inventing rules that have to be kept to for no particular reason.

I have little time for the I hate to 'think' about dirt brigade, as that is your mental issue and not a real cleanliness hygiene probelm. My house is clean (I have a cleaner) but I don't invent extra unecessary jobs.
