Have cleaned out the drawer which was a bit gunky, but it is still not working. have a warranty for the machine so can call someone out, but not keen on staying in all day waiting for the repair man

any ideas??

Mine was the same, the fabric conditioner draw was holding water and softener, take draw out, pull off the part that says MAX, look under inside the tube, clean out with hot waster and scrape the gunge with a screwdriver, it is this gunge thats is preventing the softener from overflowing into the pipe, put back together and it should work, Mine did :)

I stick my washing machine drawer in the dishwasher. I also do the bleach spray and then the hot wash.

But I find the dishwasher is usually the best for me...

This worked for me. I used a cotton bud rather than a screwdriver

Does anyone know of a washing that does actually dispense fabric conditioner consistently, without lots of TIME spent on poking around, bleaching, adding vinegar etc etc
I d love to know!
It s no good just saying fabric conditioner is of the devil, ex-pat of Scotland! Although that really made me laugh !

The reason fabric condition doesn't go through on a cycle is because it is blocked. After getting very upset at the cost of an engineer I tackled the issue myself and it worked and has been ever since.
Remove the complete drawer assembly, sounds daunting but it's not really. You have to remove the top of the machine and disconnect the hoses to the drawer, usually two at the back one at the side and one at th bottom, (That's a tricky one).
Work out how yours is held in and get the top op off. Give the whole unit a thorough clean and if you are lucky like me use a compressor to blast all the holes through to ensure they are clear and rinse again. If you haven't got a compressor maybe your local tyre fitter or car body shop will do it for you. Put it back together and it should be sorted.
