Crayon on carpet...how do I get it out?!

DS has scribbled a long line of black Crayola crayon on our cream carpet this evening....how do I get it out?! Please help!!

I would say, but someone else to confirm as I have never tried it, kitchen roll over the top and a hot iron. works for wax so as long as a wax crayon should work.

That may melt the carpet though.

I think sock monster might be right.

Of possible white spirits. It is oil based so water won't work.

Iron will work but be very careful,if there is any nylon in your carpet you could have a whole new problem to post later......
