Hello again.

TMH I am now slightly of the creche....ds has a big graze on his elbow from me knocking him over pulling him back from running into the road this morning. I filled the buggy with shopping on the way home from toddler group then discovered the reins weren't in my bag. He came the rest of the way sat on top of a pile of milk and loo rolls!

I have the odd sock drawer to sort, plus yesterdays clean washing, then my list fr today will be done. DDS have clubs so I've got til 4

TheMadHouse · 11/05/2009 15:54

Swan I took your advice and picked them up with cheese straws, drinks and a football for a play on the beach for an hour.

All was going well until DS1 pushed DS2 so hard, he hit the sand on his face nad had a nose bleed - cue back to the car and home.

DS1 took himslef upstairs for 4 mins time out as he realised just how mauthy he had been

Jas The creche is supposed to be for people on a surestart cource, but they made an exception for me DS2 was going to one on a morning, but he cried for me all the time, as this one is an afternoon, DS1 cacn go with him and he is all right.

Prof What did you buy her?

EHM I know, but it feels quite self indulgent, espeically when there is stuff to be getting on with. However, we all need me time

Scatty Hope the choc comes out and does the nauthy stage end and if so when?

Waves to everyone else.

I will be back

lol at Prof There must be something in the air today as my two ran off down into a ditch in anearby field on the way back to the car from nursery. I was so smiley when I picked them up and happy to be organised and then within two minutes I was hollering sharply at them . I don't know - you try and try, eh??

TMH Glad you got a minute to yourself today...shame the feeling doesn't last long with young ones around! Dp was telling me to go and book myself a couple of nights away on my own to rest up and get restored. I like the idea of it but strangely, feel reluctant to leave them all. Plus it's the finance factor - we are brassic!! But dp says not to worry about that.
(taken your point about ignoring missions for now - feels good )

Jas the homestart sounds great. I always find that as soon as help becomes available we start to feel like we can cope without it after all. But I say - make the most of it! Good luck for your dp coming home - YAY!!

swanriver OUCH! I'm the biggest scaredy cate when it comes to dentists. they are ALL sadists as far as Im concerned!!

FBGirl Go to it!! Kepp those tasks coming, fast as you can and focus on each thing and on the wine waiting for you later, hopefully.

Off to get dinner started and attempt to finish list. BBFN

TheMadHouse · 11/05/2009 16:56

A beating sounds good to me

Laura The sound of a couple of nights away sounds wonderful, but I too would feel that it was too much

grouchyoscar · 11/05/2009 17:23

Just made dinner - Tuna and pasta bake with a pesto gratin topping

Juist got to get Ed's clothes out for morning and him to do his home work and I'm done for the day. Not too bad TBH and Boris has been wonderfully silent (bless)

Take care my FLY friends

galen · 11/05/2009 17:24

A quick hello!
mad so sorry you've had such a rough day...sounds verystressful. Glad you got a bit of a brake wu=ith them at crech at least. I know what you mean about going away but maybe think about it? I have always said No when Dh has suggested I go away in the past - not wanting to leave them all, thinking they all needed me here, not enough money etc...but now have finally arranged a wken d at my sisters as I think I just really NEED a break....and if it helps me to come back restored and feeling better then I'll be able to be a better mummy...Do you have anyone you could saty with for a night that wouldnt cost a lot but may just give you a bit of space.

everyone-else Hi...sorry rushing...

Well DH is home YAY sadly DD3 and 4 in shocking mood, and DS2 refuses to go to DH, and screams whenever he goes near him Dh really upset...but it will pass, just his way of telling dh he missed him too I guess....
off to do bath time
BBL

dylsmum1998 · 11/05/2009 18:14

Laura I'm doing a degree in Early Childhood Studies

swan well done on being so organised

tmh hope your day improved from this mornings episode

EHM hope its not a second bout of pox, but it does happen

Galen good hubbies home, children are funny with the way the react to people going away for a bit, they'll settle soon enough

i didnt manage as much revision as i had hoped as i couldnt concentrate very well, but did manage some. picked dd up early from nursery, then we got ds and came home and planted lots of herb seeds, the bedroom window ledges are full of recycled yoghurt/houmous pots now

have washed the floors
washed up
stripped dc beds
hoovered
tidied
had dinner

now need to
make dc beds
shower dc
empty washer
attack mountain of ironing
mission (am glad its the bathroom this week as it needs sorting as i want to decorate in there!)

must crack on BBL

laura & TMH something defo in air. took ellie for lovely walk on her trike & park. on way home she ran off climbed on to grass verge heading towards road. I shouted so loudly she got a fright. we sat down on the grass verge & chatted about why I shouted, why I don't like shouting. Why she shouldn't run off as she could trip off grass verge & fall into road, car may squish her. very dangerous etc. Later on she said she was sorry & that she felt better after our talk
dylsmum didn't know they could get twice
galen Poor dh I am sure dc's will come around.

off to bath ellie, then iron everything wash/dried today.

EHM · 11/05/2009 18:21

grouchy pesto gratin topping yummy

scattyspice · 11/05/2009 18:34

Hi girls.

They are all being little monkeys today, eh? I'm a little frazzled too after swimming lesson (dd falling over and cutting her lip while ds was flinging his clothes around instead of getting dressed, etc).

BBL (dd wants the comp).

swanriver · 11/05/2009 18:45

Library job and swimming went VERY smoothly for once.
Children are playing on train track in frontroom, and ds1 has gone to Cubs.
fed them at swimming pool what a relief
Must try your pesto topping on a bake, Grouchy, ds1 loves the stuff
Galen, mine always start SCREAMING and ARGUING the minute dh walks in door, its sort of release of emotion I think (and competitiveness as well). He finds it very wearing, but then he puts them to bed quite calmly.

Anyway ds2 now needs to be put in his pjs, and put firmly to bed, that's the nice thing about swimming, no bath nec,as I can hear him hyperventilating about Thomas
good night ladies.

Wolfcub · 11/05/2009 19:47

evening all mad our boys are definitely on the same wavelength by the sound of your earlier posts. We've had a challenging day too.

have done bits and bobs today but I am tooo tired to post.

TheMadHouse · 11/05/2009 20:37

Evening my lovleys

The boys didnt get much better I am afriad to say, but after dinner I went outside and did some planting.

I have planted

peas
Mange tout
runner beans
Purple sage

I have also planted some berlotti beans in small pots to bring on.

Watered everything too

I am feeling a bit cold now, so off for a wash and to get into PJ's and then a nice drink and a read of my gardening books me thinks.

I have loads more planting to do, may get some more done tomorrow - you never know

swanriver · 11/05/2009 22:54

Well done on planting very envious of borlotti beans and purple sage, you just need an olive tree now!

So much calmer without having to take ds1 to Cubs myself, twins played houses, read reading books had a bowl of cereal, went to bed. Must keep this nice Monday arrangment going, they love it when he's not here!
Picked up ds1 and his friend from Cubs at 8.00, dropped home etc
Then very delicious broccoli pasta, and nice chat only for dh to fly into ANOTHER rage about MP's expenses. Sometimes it feels like there is enough to be angry about without adding to our difficulties.

Dylsmum, is this the second year of your degree? What have you found the most interesting part of the course?

dylsmum1998 · 12/05/2009 08:08
