Morning all

Stressfull start to the day here

mission

Babysteps, we are on day six and seven

So we need to read about hotspots and work on puttiong one out - 2 mins is all it takes

and tonight we are going to get out our clothes for tomorrow. In my house we all do this now, even DH. I get the boys clothes out and mine and he does his too.

So we should be

Shinning our sink
getting dressed first thing
reading our reminders
turning negatives into positives
putting out one hotspot a day

morning all, am making cakes for dd's party today so prob not much flying being done, still at least party is at mil so i dont need to worry about my flat being a tip
cakes in the oven, am in the process of making pass the parcel, have decided rather than a prize in each layer they are getting an action to do and one main present for the last prize, then at end of game they can all choose something out of a basket

tmh hope your dc calm a bit for you

gibbberish · 24/04/2009 13:02

scatty thanks. Just hoping the weather will pick up! Hope you have a good time in Cambridge.

tmh We went to York years ago so can't remember much about it so looking forward to revisiting. Hope your mother can help you out. You musn't overdo things and I know it must be worrying you trying to keep on top of everything without doing yourself any damage.

ehm I was just thinking this morning that I could do with selling a load of stuff on ebay. I tend to just freecycle but tbh a few extra pennies would come in useful atm. £300 is amazing!

Am about a quarter of the way through the mountain of ironing and my feet are getting sore. So going to drag a chair through and finish it sitting down.

Kids have been bickering all morning and I tempted to just cancel the whole weekend because don't want my parents to have to put up with their nonsense They have promised to behave so will see how it goes this afternoon.

dh's present doesn't look like it is going to arrive in time either

gibbberish · 24/04/2009 13:04

Now they have just knocked a mirror off the wall and destroyed the tv ariel

I am off to book a one way ticket to australia.

Wolfcub · 24/04/2009 13:32

just saying hello all

galen · 24/04/2009 13:43

afternoon all
gib sound sliek youre having a rough day, hope DD's improve. And hope you do get away and have a lovely weekend (even if it's not Australia!)
mad You have been through so much , you are doing amazingly. Dont expect too much of yourself. You are still healing. I'm sure your Mum wont mind helping out a bit more - better that than overstrecthing yourself. Hope you gat a chance to rest this weekend
prof dyls good luck with the parties!
swan sounds like youre having a chilled day, hope it continues
wendy situation with friend does sound annoying. We had a similar friend (shes moved away now) although we werent terribly close. She turned up on the doorstep one day saying she had been out shopping and was passing, but didnt have enough money to buy the boys 3 boys) lunch so could we spare a bag of crisps for them We invited them all in and made them all lunch (we didnt have any crisps LOL) and felt quite sorry for them, then later found out that the week before they had bought a brand new plasma screen TV
Anyway hope move goes well. Just keep telling yourself how wonderful it will be to in and settled in your new lovely home!
scatty hope vivit goes well, and you is positive for you nad your Dad and stepMum
grouchy hope you take it easy today!
everyone-else
Hi

Well a bit late on here today. But house is now really quiet as DD4 at nursery and DS2 napping - yay! I have loads to do but am having uninterupted cuppa and MN time instead!
Feeling abit as if things have run away with me again this week. and feeling a bit overwhelmed but trying to tackle one step at a time! Did manage morning routine this am (DS woke at 5am today...sigh) Then shopping
Then did 30 mins of bedroom zone - mostly tidying and decluttering (again!), but did polish, hoover and clean windows. May not get much more done but at least I have done some zone work this week!
Really need to get up to speed with the babysteps too.... have been shing my sink more regularly again though which is good.
Going to try and take it easy this weekend and enjoy family time, then back into it with renewed enthusiasm on Monday... if I can catch up on sleep...

Right have got a few things I must sort before school pick up time....
Will try to BBL

gibbberish · 24/04/2009 15:38

Thanks galen but dh has had a change of plan - has booked us on flights at 7pm to the Isle of Man!!! Never been there before so don't know what to expect.

Complete mad rush now as have to leave for airport in half an hour!

Have done most of our packing and managed to do ALL THE IRONING!!!

Have a lovely weekend all. Will be back Monday night xx

park running around
violin practice with dcs
admin phone calls

now to cook potatoes for supper
hang out laundry

EHM · 24/04/2009 18:04

galen hope you get a great sleep tonight

EHM · 24/04/2009 18:10

swan more loft skullduggery? tell us more...

TheMadHouse · 24/04/2009 18:18

Evening all

Well I had a bath with DS1 and then we all went out to soft play and they have played and played and played.

I am just sorting out a late tea and they are in PJ's

I think I am just a little down TBH and am so glad it is the weekend.

DS1 has his first football session with the local club tomorrow and is very excited.

Mum managed all the ironing too - I think she can see I need some help. The issue is that everyone is really busy on their own and I feel awful asking for help.

I may be back later

EHM · 24/04/2009 18:22

TMH I am sure if people can help they will. Don't be afraid to ask honey.glad boys had fun at Softplay. Have a lovely relaxing evening with DH If I lived nearer I would be there is a shot! Can you get more help from homestart?

galen · 24/04/2009 18:29

Evening all
gib how exciting! have a great time.
EHM your afternoon sound slovely
swan Also inrigued by "loft skullduggery" LOL!

Well my little mad decided to only sleep for 30 mins this afternoon so my plans of peaceful MN skiving were destroyed LOL

I actually did MORE zone cleaning whilst he played (trashed!!) in the bedroom. Have done LOTS of decluttering and reorganising and a thorough move all the furniture hoover It looks loads better now....just need to paint it now...still dreaming of mad's lovely sounding sage bedroom...sigh...

Quite peaceful evening here so far. DC playing nicely outside - yay. DS2 so exhausted he's gone to bed, and fell straight asleep (unlike last night when I had to lie with him and we bothe ended up asleep at 8pm LOL!)
DD4 loved nursery again and is in a wondeful mood!
DD3 doing OK , no more incidents at school thankfully....

downstairs of house not too bad....
upstairs a bit of a disaster - except our room LOL Its funny cause I'm often a bit ambivalent about deep cleaning/tidying our room - kind of thinking "its only me and DH who see it etc..." but have been reading my emails and decided that me and Dh deserved a nice clean tidy room LOL (slightly hampered by the continued presence of DS2 in there but hey!!)

Anyway I'm waffling, need to go sort littlies now, then pizza for me and DH later...
Hope you all have good evenings, see you all tomorrow.

wendyredkitchenredspots · 24/04/2009 19:05

Hello everyone
Thank you for all of your wise words (as per usual) of advice. I think that the consensus is to keep helping her out, but just be careful. DH bluntly said that I'm either a very good friend or a mug! I think that's what you lot meant too! I want to help her as she is so young, and as swan says, I'm trying not to judge her too much when I think what I was like at 21 - always drunk and prioritsed clothes, make up and buying books for myself and holidays over anything else even though it was my parents' money ! So the fact that she is trying to help herself by being at college and wanting to go to be a teacher and make a better life for herself really makes me feel good for her and want to try and help her. I know that she does look up to me and tries to emulate me (poor honey she is sadly deluded!) and I am always conscious of that and trying to help her on her way. But I don't want to be a mug !!!

gib thinking of you and hoping a romantic weekend is had
mad take it easy and ask for help! wish i was closer!
galen don't be too hard on yourself and you sound like you've done loads!
EHM Yay for ebay! I also just freecycle as I don't get round to ebay.
Sorry for forgetting everything else.

DH has messed up with the van - my friend who is lending it texted me and said it was ready and DH wouldn't listen to me when I said to go and collect it - he went an hour later and they are out - she is has switched off her phone too. So that has scuppered her evening.

See you tomorrow, perhaps, perhaps not!!! Will bb as soon as poss

TheMadHouse · 24/04/2009 19:48

galen I think that you do deserve a bedroom. It is where I go for peace and quiet (apart from when I lock myself int he downstairs loo that is) Green is very restful and unisex, which is why we chose it. I truly love it, as does DH.

Infact I have changed our bed today, polished all woden furniture and tidied tonight whilst DH had a cuddle with the minimads in our bed, so that it is spick and span for the weekend.

I will sort my wardrobe once I have my false breasts

DS1 is in bed asleep, DS2 is pottering around, DH is doing farm books for FIL, I am going to bake and read I think. I also need to sort out dinner for me and DH - will see what he fancies.

Wendy I think being aware is part of it - also sorry about the van and hope the weekend goes smoothly.

Gib Enjoy your romatic weekend away Dont do anything I wouldnt

EHM I just find it hard to ask DH has done the washer etc tonight. Also well done on the e-baying, you have inspired me to get my arse in gear and do some of our stuff too.

Swan Yes what is loft skullduggery - I am now humming "theres going to be a robbery, a bit of skullduggery", but for the life of me can not rememeber anymore of the song or the artists

Prof Hope the party goes OK.

Wolf Hope you managaged the first week OK and have a great weekend

Groucy BORIS back off and leave my friend along - I will send whiskey for you and wolf if necessary

Also where are out MIA's Bainca, Luda Jas, Greyskull and sag
