Washing the cover on matress?

Hi. DD has one of these:
www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-sleepsafe-spring-interior-mattress-size-400-cotbed/3972000/type-i/ and it says it has a removeable washable cover. I always assume you could shove it in the machine. Well I have just taken it off to wash and it says sponge clean only and do not tumble dry. It has been covered in sick, wee and milk many times and could really do with a proper clean. It also says not to use bio washing products.

So what is the best way to do it? I have taken it all off her matress now and it needs to be back there by 7pm, although it is nice and sunny outside.

What do you all think?

Thank you!

i would put it in the machine and then dry it outside

What cycle would you use considering it says not to machine wash? I am a bit worried about ruining it and then not having anything to use?

i'd prob just chuck it in on my quick 30 degree cycle.
or handwash it if you're worried. am sure it'll be fine though

What about washing powder? Ok to use normal powder? Fabric conditioner?

i have washed a mattress cover that looks similar to that

used non bio fairy liq and no softener...
think i did it on 30 synthetics... it was fine and came out quite dryish from the machine... and also a lot cleaner and fresher
