or having to use 20 odd different containers? And will they have defrosted in time for lunch at school if I take them out at about 7am?

Place them on a baking tray NABS and put them in the freezer. After a couple of hours they should be frozen, take them off the tray and put into a food bag.

and yes, they will have defrosted in time if you take out at 7.00am.

Spread the out on a large baking sheet, so they're not touching at all, and "open freeze" ie, don't cover.

When they're frozen, you can tip them in a plastic container together.

You can also do this for soft fruit such as raspberries.

I don't know if they will defrost by lunch - maybe if not in the fridge?

spread them out! (durr!)

Wrap them in grease proof paper?

Nabster · 20/03/2009 16:45

Thank you.

How long to leave them open frozen?

A couple of hours should do it Nabs.

Nabster · 20/03/2009 16:49

Thanks again.

I've never found that they do stick as long as you put greaseproof paper between horizontal layers - so if your plastic box will take 3 layers, put greaseproof on the bottom,on top of the first layer, on top of the second layer - and you might as well put some more on top of that.
Does that make sense?

Yes, thanks.
